Firetruck Tours
What a FUN day! The Strengthening Police and Community Partnerships Council, Civic and Community Engagement “Snack Patrol” along with their partners Erie PAL, the Erie Police Dept., and the Erie Firefighters visited several spots - including SMELC. Our kids enjoyed tours of the firetruck, ice cream, and got all kinds of fun goodies like hats, badges, fire safety books, and more. We are so thankful for these opportunities to build relationships between our students and local law enforcement.

Pre-K Counts
Our 2 Pre-K Counts classes held graduations and honored those moving onto Kindergarten and those entering their 2nd year of Pre-K education. There were lots of songs, balloons, and tears (by teachers and parents!). We are thankful to all of the loved ones who were able to take time out of their day to come celebrate their little scholars. We appreciate the trust you've placed in us to teach them well, and we look forward to watching their stories unfold!
